On November 19, Folsom Police responded to a robbery alarm at Premier West Bank, 701 East Bidwell Street Folsom. Bank tellers described a suspect with a camouflage baseball cap. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash after telling the teller he had a firearm.
In early December, the East Bay area communities of Martinez and Lafayette experienced two bank robberies. A Pleasant Hill Police Department sergeant recognized the suspect in the photo on a Citi Bank flyer.
The Lafayette detective obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence in Pleasant Hill where he recovered a camouflage hat, jacket, and shoes worn during the Lafayette robbery (and conveniently, the Folsom robbery).
Graham Poole, 27 years of age from Pleasant Hill, was arrested for the East Bay robberies.
Folsom investigators interviewed Poole at the Contra Costa County Jail where he is being held. The investigation showed that Poole had links to Rancho Cordova and Fair Oaks, and police are now seeking an arrest warrant for Poole, related to the Folsom robbery.
Detective Steve Wharton said “This is an excellent example of agencies communicating and getting their suspect. The Contra County Sheriff’s Department, the FBI, and the respective bank security units really came through for Folsom and Premier West Bank employees.”
