SPOOKTACULAR EVENT OCTOBER 28 – NIGHT OF 1,000 PUMPKINS

FOLSOM HISTORIC DISTRICT

Folsom, Ca – October 19, 2011 beginning at 6 p.m.—Night of 1,000 Pumpkins is a night to remember when hundreds drop off their carved pumpkins in Historic Folsom and it is these pumpkins that line Sutter Street in all their eerie glory! The excitement of this night is heightened by the sheer number of pumpkins, trick or treating at local merchants and Halloween movies ‘under the stars’ suitable for all family members. Bring a chair!

This is definitely ‘family night’ in Folsom. It doesn’t matter how many pumpkins you bring, simply drop them off during the day on Friday, October 28 between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Wool and Sutter Street parking lot. For each carved pumpkin you will be given a raffle ticket for a chance to win some exciting prizes including an iPad donated by MyFolsom.com! Raffle prizes will be drawn between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the Wool and Sutter Street parking lot in Historic Folsom. What fun!!

Next, be sure and trick or treat at local merchants between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Afterwards, grab some dinner or get it ‘to-go’ and enjoy while you watch movies under the stars beginning at 6 p.m. in the Wool and Sutter Street parking lot. What a great time for the whole family!

Sutter Street Theatre will have an 8:00pm Special Opening Performance of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. All children will receive Halloween treats. Children in costume will receive half price tickets. Tickets are $17 general, $15 students & seniors, $13 children. Also at 11:45pm is a performance of Evil Dead: The Musical. Recommended for adults and mature teens this show is perfect for the Halloween season.
