Sutter Street Revitalization:

Construction is moving along swiftly.  Listed below is what is happening this week.  15 more weeks until substantial completion!

600 block: Storm drain work continues for the remainder of the week.

Scott Road: Storm drain work all week.  Crews start at 6:30 am and are done by 3:30  pm.  Expect road closures on Scott.  Detour signage will be posted.

700 block: Sewer work continues this week followed by grease line services.   Crews hit a lot of rock on this block; however underground continues to progress.

Historic District Sidewalks Start in 900 Block This Week 1

800 block: Grading continues and a wall is being built on the north side.  The current driveway to the turntable lot from the 800 block of Sutter Street will be permanently removed on Thursday. Access to the turntable parking lot will be available from Leidesdorff.  Nicole Chappell, project manager with Teichert, will meet with individual business owners this week and next to discuss sidewalk removal.  The week of August 16 , the shed roofs and sidewalks are scheduled to be removed.

900 block: On the north side of the street, concrete form work is being finished today and concrete pouring starts tomorrow.  We will soon have our first glimpse of completed sidewalk work!

Coffee Chat at the Folsom City Library

This Thursday, August 5, 2010 is the City-Sponsored coffee chat at the Folsom City Library, starting at 08:30 am.

Lou Kauffman, the architect designing the facades, will present the proposed facades for the 800 block.  Merchants and building owners should plan on attending, to have the first view of what the 800 block will look like with the new facades.  By November 15, the goal is to have all of the 800 block underground utilities installed, new sidewalks in place, and facades completed.
