Master artists are the featured fun at this wonder-filled and whimsical art class sponsored by American Visions Art Gallery in Old Town Folsom. Bring your child and their friends to the gallery to enjoy an enriching experience creating art modeled after masters like Van Gogh, Matisse, and Georgia O’Keefe.
- The Matisse Project: each child will make a collage from unique and colorful cut-outs on black and white cardstock, similar to art Matisse created in his later years.
June 24 (Just before Thursday Night Market) 4:30 to 6:30 pm
- The Van Gogh Project: each child will compose a version of “Starry Night” using watercolor with crayon resist and salt texture for the stars and moon.
July 20 (Tuesday) 4:30 – 6:30 pm
- The O’Keefe Project: each child will paint a watercolor iris with a masked border to frame it.
Aug. 19 (Just before Thursday Night Market) at 4:30 to 6:30pm
Children ages 6 and up are welcome. Cost per child: $4 including materials
