Teichert Construction continues to move rapidly on all four blocks of Sutter Street. All detour signs inform traffic to take Reading to the parking garage. A more detailed traffic plan is being worked on now.
Teichert and the City are committed to keeping businesses accessible, even when working on the sidewalks. When sidewalk demolition occurs, Teichert will make every effort to coordinate around business hours, creating as little impact as possible.
Shannon Cheyne, the Marchant Association’s Manager has been visiting businesses to find out the best time for demolition: 7 am-3:30 pm, 8 pm-4:30 am and 12 am-8 am. She should visit all businesses within the next few days.
The next coffee chat is Thursday, August 5 at 8:30 am, at the City Library. There will be a presentation on the facades. All local businesses should plan on attending to learn about the façade plan.
