Folsom Police Department Santa Sleigh Project Begins December 9
Here comes Santa Claus! Folsom Police and Fire staff, along with volunteers, will guide Santa’s sleigh on the annual parade beginning at 5:30 pm on December 9th this year. The project begins December 9th and runs nightly through December 14th. In the event of heavy rain, the parade will be rescheduled for December 15th-17th.
When you hear the Police and Fire Department sirens you will know Santa and Mrs. Claus are in your neighborhood. The Police cars and Fire trucks will safely escort Santa and Mrs. Claus down your street and stop to greet children at pre-determined locations. They will spend a few moments at each stop handing out candy canes and collecting non-perishable food and toys for the Christmas Basket program, which is sponsored by the Folsom Police Department and Twin Lakes Food Bank. All donations benefit local families in need of a helping hand.
The Police Department sponsors the Santa’s Sleigh program as a community-wide goodwill effort. Young children and their parents will know Santa’s sleigh is approaching when they hear the police and fire sirens, so listen up!
