Michelle MacKenzie at www.mmackenziegallery.com, says after a cooler than average Summer, September has sure been HOT! Despite the heat, Michelle has been very busy in the studio and you should see the many new TOASTY works she has to show off.

She is preparing for “A Night With the Artists” next week, Thursday, September 8, from 6-9PM at the Auburn Old Town Gallery, 218 Washington Street in Historic Old Town Auburn. Michelle teams up with her artist friends, Chris Foster and Christina Salazar to introduce some exciting new artworks.

The “A Night With the Artists” show runs through September 30 and you can see Michelle’s new “Pegasus”sculpture.

Michelle is accepting new students this month for what she calls her SIZZLING drawing and painting classes. Michelle holds classes in Midtown Sacramento, Saturdays and Tuesdays. September’s class is a 2 Hour Acrylic Painting Class.

Puns aside, there are some great art events coming up.

Also look out for the 5th Annual CurtisFest 2011, on Saturday, Sept. 10, between 10-4pm, in Curtis Park, Sacramento and the 14th Annual Valley Sculpture Artists Membership Show, at Gallery 2110, 2110 K Street in Sacramento.

Michelle’s Canyon King Horse Sculpture was accepted into this Valley Sculpture Artists show.
