The Folsom Police Department want to set a date to see you at their checkpoint this Saturday, April 30th, if you are a drug or alcohol impaired driver, or if you don’t have a current license to drive.

They will be citing unlicensed drivers, and educating the public on the impacts of impaired driving.

The checkpoint begins at 7:00 p.m. near the intersection of Greenback Lane and River Rock Drive and will continue into the early morning of May 1st.

Uniformed police officers, Community Service Officers, and Citizens Assisting Public Safety volunteers (C.A.P.S.) will staff the checkpoint through funding from the California Office of Traffic Safety’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P. grant).
