Shannon Cheyne,  Folsom Historic District Association manager says the project is moving along as some exciting milestones are reached this week. The street lights in the 700 block are installed and working. The lower concrete in the 600 block was finished yesterday.

To take advantage of the great weather, crews will be working on Saturdays between now and March 5. They will not work on Saturday, February 12 and Saturday, February 19, to respect Valentine’s Day and President’s Day weekends. This Saturday, crews will be digging for landscaping in the 800 and 900 blocks of Sutter Street from 8 am to 3:30 pm. While digging, Sutter Street will be open to one way traffic. In addition, a crew will be working on the sidewalk in front of Chicago Fire and working on concrete at Sutter/Scott Street.

Listed below are some additional highlights coming tomorrow through next week:

Folsom Blvd. off ramp to Sutter Street will be closed tomorrow morning until 10:30 am and will be closed off and on next week, while landscaping is taking place.

900 block: Digging for landscaping happening tomorrow and Saturday. Starting Monday, landscaper will begin working on irrigation and installing plants. While this is happening, the street should be open to one way traffic.
